Looking for your next fun UNIQUE project? This may be it!
Here is an original prewar antique mens YALE bicycle frame from the early 1900s! I believe this to be a Yale "Racer" or possibly a Yale "Light Roadster" (see pics and be your own judge) The serial number looks to be 51954 and is stamped on the bottom of the cranks housing) I got this one just like you see it. Includes the frame and forks as shown! Yale was made in Ohio and is known for some really cool early bicycles as well as some very unique early Motorcycles! To find ANYTHING made by Yale is a real challenge! For the collector who thought they had it all. Build a factory bike or would be a fun custom. The serial number appears to be 189459 (1918?). I hope you can see the beauty in this one and make it something great!
IF YOU ARE LOOKING AT THIS you probably know more about it than I do! See all pics and be your own expert. I took many and have nothing to hide!
There was some fantastic bikes made in this era! Schwinn, Henderson, Excelsior, Iver Johnson, Mead, Hawthorne, Hiawatha, Rollfast, Flying Merkel, Davis Sewing, Harley Davidson, Indian, etc) This one has been in VERY long term storage. Would need a total restoration for show or have fun with it in its current patina. Add your parts and have a fun OLD antique bike! Would be really cool to use a more common girls bike to build this one up!
Check out the COOL unique rear dropouts!
NOTE! This one includes a free bonus copy of an original 1906 Yale catalog! (see pics) ALSO, the top bar has some dents. The previous owner included the bonus replacement bar shown. IF YOU EVER think you would enjoy a bike like this DO NOT MISS OUT!
*DIMENSIONS I believe this to have been born with 28" wheels. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 20". The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 21 1/2".
IF you know these bikes, you know how cool and rare these are! Fun to build, display, or ride and enjoy!
RIGHT NOW I have 5 separate listings with 5 related items for sale RIGHT NOW! I have the frame and forks with a catalog, impossible to find YALE Head badge with original screws, handlebars and neck, long 7 seat post, AND an original nickel sprocket. The hot rod and rat rod bikes are HOT right now! Add your parts and have a COOL bike at a super low price! These frame sets NEVER come along! This is the first one of these I have seen in a while! A RARE UNIQUE bike frame! It has been hidden away for decades waiting for the opportunity to make it into something cool once again!
This one comes exactly as shown. Think about this, SCHWINN was probably around a 20-25 year old company when this one was produced! Most of these bike did not make it past the WWII Scrap drives! (IF you are unfamiliar with that, do a google search. It is a really interesting time period in history) It is amazing that this one still exists! What you see is what you get in exact condition shown.
Be sure to check out all pics and email with any questions regarding condition before you bid.
