    Description

    Sturmey-Archer AW 3 speed rear hub. 40 spoke holes. Stamped August 1948.
    Threaded driver which takes a standard track cog.
    Includes what appear to be the original nuts, washers, and indicator chain.
    Sold to me years ago as new old stock, spoke holes show no evidence of having been laced into a wheel or attached to a bike.
    Cones and lock nuts show no evidence of having been undone. Hub spins with minor resistance, feels like it just has some old grease in the bearings. A cleaning, new grease, and some SAE 20 oil (or ATF) should make this hub run as it should.
