- December 22, 1968, Vol. 9, Number 52, The News American (Baltimore, MD). 7-1/8" x 10-1/4". 64 pages. Color illustrated cover of Mickey Mouse from "Fantasia" (2 page photo story inside).
This week the Walt Disney TV series celebrated Mickey's 40th anniversary with a special episode. Other photo stories/ads include "Julia" (Christmas episode, "I'm Dreaming of a Black Christmas"), "Hogan's Heroes" ("Scultzie Turns Smoochy"), & Boris Karloff ("How the Grinch Stole Christmas"). Complete and uncut. An uncommon regional issue.
Condition is considered GOOD to FAIR with moderate surface/stain/edge wear. Moderate surface/corner creasing with several page edge tears (largest being approximately 3/4" on lower cover). Approx. 1/4" spine edge separation. Colors are still bold, bright and vibrant. Complete with no cuts.
Overall, we feel this is a very displayable and serviceable example by most standards (see photos). It would make an uncommon display for any VINTAGE DISNEYANA, CHRISTMAS and/or REGIONAL TELEVISION MEMORABILIA enthusiast. On a condition code scale of 1 to 10, the above listed item(s) rated - (7-6).
