Description
Original and quite rare cap, made in the handicraft way from scrap materials during the First World war. An interesting feature of the cap is its shape, almost identical to the form of cavalry caps of the sample of 1940. The sides are covered with red silk cloth that covers the previous tissue layer, almost completely watery for years of wear. Buttons with Russian double-headed eagle on the guns originally sewn in years of production, and leather chinstrap. Crown cloth. This cap comes from a immigrant family and belonged to Mikhail Mikhailovich Rotova – the captain of the Life-Guards Cossack regiment, who fought with the red army on the Eastern front. Along with a son, Mikhail Mikhailovich, in 1945, went on foot to Italy where, with the help of the captain of the second rank of Prince Romanovsky-Leuchtenberg emigrated through the port of Brindisi to Argentina. Predstavlennaya cap(
with a different badge, standing there previously) published in the book of Andrew Karashchuk
"
Eastern legions and Cossack units in the Wehrmacht".
