Antique Hand-Forged Firmer Chisel - 1 11/16" wide / 14.25" long. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
I purchased this chisel 25 years ago at a church antique sale.  I used it for years when I needed a big chisel for paring work.  Later I was given a beautiful wide Barton paring chisel, so this one's been sitting unused for years.  It certainly looks hand forged, and I can find no markings on it (other than my initials on the handle - TM.)  I really like the looks of this, and thought about just hanging it on the wall.  However, I'm trying to reduce my "inventory" so it's time to let it go.
I believe the last time I used it I nicked a finish nail. I recently took it to my grinder to remove the nick and give it a new edge.  It will still require some honing.
