This is a rare find. It is an original WWII issue load adjuster for the C-87 Liberator Express aircraft. This aircraft was a transport derivative of the B-24 Liberator. A total of 287
    C-87’s were
built alongside the B-24 at the Consolidated Plant in Ft. Worth, Texas. Early on the C-87 was used to fly cargo over the hump in the CBI theater. There were also many variants converted to carry passengers. This aircraft was powered by 4 P&W
R-1830-43 aircraft engines. Only a few C-87 examples remain in existence.
The load adjuster was used on every flight to calculate the center of gravity when loaded with crew, fuel and cargo. It was not to be removed from the aircraft. This is in used very good condition And includes the always missing cursor. Comes in the military issue carrying case. All items sold are 100% guaranteed.
