Description
Cray Supercomputer T3E-600 Processor BoardThis auction is for a beautiful Cray T3E processor board. It contains 4 DEC Alpha CPUs with two massive CRAY logic chips each. The T3E was the first supercomputer architecture to achieve a performance of more than 1 teraflops in 1998.
The gold CPU chips date to 1996. The board measures a massive 13 by 23 inches long with the metal support frame.
The board is in great condition with no major dings or scrapes to the capacitors or chips on the front. The back of the board has a few bent pins where cache memory was held. One or two of back the plastic connectors are cracked but are hardly noticeable and not visible from the front.
Please see my other supercomputer and mainframe auctions in the coming weeks for more collectible goodies.
