CROSS WITHOUT SWORDS
Order Of Saint Anna with Swords 1st Class without swords on sash. Rebuilt according to original historical sample with improvement of quality to be exactly as it was in it's period.
1st class: Cross worn at the bow of a broad ribbon (ten centimeters wide, worn over the left shoulder), on the right hip; star of the Order worn on the right breast.
Sizes: 50 x 55 mm / 2" x 2,8" inches. Comes with Order`s broad ribbon, completed set ready for using.
Brass, all metal parts are gold plated, cold red / black enamel. Best quality.

Order of St. Anna is Russian Imperial Order of chivalry established by Karl Friedrich, Duke of Holstein-Gottorp on 14 February 1735, in honor of his wife Anna Petrovna, daughter of Peter the Great of Russia. The motto of Order was "Amantibus Justitiam, Pietatem, Fidem" ("To those who love justice, piety, and fidelity"). Its festival day is 3 February (16 February by New style). This Order originally is a Dynastic order of knighthood, but from 1797 to 1917 is has dual status as a dynastic order and as a State Order. The Head of Imperial House of Russia always hold a position of the Head of Imperial Order of Saint Anna. Membership of the Order awarded for a distinguished career in civil service or for a value and distinguished service in the military. The Order of Saint Anna entitled first class recipients to hereditary nobility while other recipient to personal nobility. For military recipients, it was awarded with swords.

Орден Святой Анны 1-й степени без мечей - высшая степень ордена Святой Анны, носившаяся на плечевой широкой орденской ленте. Представленный орден - с черной эмалью вместо установленной Статутом ордена красной. Большинство исследователей сходятся во мнении, что появление орденов с черной эмалью - дань моде того времени: пик популярности таких орденов приходится на 1860-е годы и затрагивает практически все русские ордена, кроме ордена Св.Георгия. Подобные знаки орденов не являлись капитульными, они заказывались владельцами за свой счет.
Крест Ордена Святой Анны первой степени с мечами.
