Custom Stained Glass Window Arch

Description

Customized Stained Glass Arch in a custom designed wooden frame to fit inside two windows that have no arch. I custom designed this piece using different textures, types, styles and thicknesses of glass from over 50 different boxes. I am a Portmeirion Pottery fan and have quite a collection of it in different styles. These custom flower designs are inspired from the same book that was used to design the Botanic Garden Pattern from Portmeirion Pottery,  the hand-coloured herbal book,
The Universal, or Botanical, Medical and Agricultural Dictionary
by Thomas Green. Being a Naturopathic Physician myself, I am always enthused with the beauty of nature and by the healing methods used with such plants.
The flowers in this art glass come from the oldest offerings of Botanic Garden Pattern, and are known as rare now. They are the African Daisey, (Arctotis Grandiflora) The Manchineel Tree, (Hippomane Mancinella) The Austrian Lilly (Lillium Martagum) The Yellow Crown Imperial, (Fritillaria) The Woody Nightshade (Solanum Dulcamara) and The Citron (Citrus). Again they are my interpretation as best can be depicted in cutting stained glass. There is an assortment of bugs and beetles that are on the glass work as well. If you look closely at the close ups, you will see the tiny wires that were imbedded into the work for their legs and antennas. These stand out from the glass and look unique to me.
Originally I designed two larger arches and two of these smaller arches for another home. When that home was sold I simply popped out these arches and took them elsewhere hoping to find another home that could use them. For my current home, I decided to have a custom frame made for a guest bedroom window so that this piece of stained glass art could be appreciated once again. Each day with daylight coming, the glass takes on different vibrant looks as the sun comes to this side of the home in the afternoon. I designed the background the color of the sky.
The frame measured 18 3/4" X 74" and it fits in the two windows that are in the picture.  The actual glass measures 13 1/2" X 68".  I have another arch listed separately if you are interested.  It has no frame.
I am listing these as a pick up only. However, if you need it shipped, I will assist in getting it to you. I know that to have a sturdy wooden crate made will be . because I've had them made before. That adds to the weight to ship of course. I would guestimate the piece weighs about 50 pounds before the crating. Once the item leaves my home I will no longer be responsible for damages. Therefore you would need to work with the carrier in your name so you could file the  claim and collect the funds.
