Untitled DocumentVintage Filipino Barong Tagalog Baro Unused Embroidered Organza Maria Clara Dress Fabric
This vintage Filipino barong tagalog baro unused embroidery organza Maria Clara dress fabric dates from the 1960s. It is made of a sheer white organza fabric with drawn thread cutwork embroidery floral vine leaf lace pattern designs. This traditional national dress fabric of the Philippines is uncut, unfinished and would have been used to create a barong shirt, or baro blouse, Maria Clara Filipiniana dress and is sheer, unlined. The fabric measures 88 inches long, 36inches wide, with a 28 inch long, 17 inch wide neckline. It is in excellent unused condition, with only a small faint stain and hand written ink signatures along the selvage hem (see close-ups). Great for upcycling. This is truly a wonderful piece of traditional Filipino wearable textile art!
