    Pernovsky Grenadier regiment was one of the most famous and honored regiments of the Russian Imperial army. Formed in 1806, he soon took part in the Patriotic war of 1812 and for the difference in the battles was ranked as a Grenadier corps. The brief history of the regiment, which opens the book, tells about the formation of the regiment and its combat path until 1914, the features of service in the regiment, changes in clothing and combat differences.
    The main part of the book is a detailed description of the fighting of the 3rd Grenadier Pernovsky regiment during the First World war on the South-Western and Western fronts, starting with the mobilization of the regiment in July 1914 and ending with its disbanding in April 1918. Materials on participation in the war of other regiments of the 1st Grenadier division and the entire Grenadier corps are also presented, information on the combat use of various types of weapons, military equipment and specialized units formed during the war is provided. The appendices provide background information about the officers and officials of the regiment, who served in its ranks during the First World war, combat losses and awards.
