Description
Hawkeye Porcelain Bell Ringer 1 cent bulk vending machineThis is the early cast iron porcelain version of this machine.
The vending mechanism works smoothly on a penny and you
get the free pull of
the vending wheel when the bells rings.
The globe has 2 original decals on in. The front decal is inside
the globe while the side decal is outside of the globe. The side
decal is paper and is there to remind the merchant to call when
the machine needs service. The globe has a few small chips...nothing
broken or cracked. The globe will be packaged in a separate
box to ensure safe delivery.
The porcelain looks good with a couple of small chips.
The machine is pretty much original except for the following:
1) The 2 rods that hold the globe down thru the hold-down ring look
to be replaced. The "thumb-screw" nuts look to be original.
2) The lock/key look to be replaced, as the stamp on the key is VC112,
which is a Victor key.
3) 2 of the rubber feet look to be replaced, as they are screwed into the
baseplate, while the 2 original feet look to be held in by a rivet.
4) The bracket on the baseplate that holds the center rod down has 2
nuts/screws holding it down. These nuts/screws are not original.
The machine is a bit heavy and weighs in at 13+ pounds. The machine
is 14 1/2 inches tall and 8 inches wide.
