I had a batch of these made years ago and an Amish family did the assembly and soldering.  I have sold out of the functioning units. All I have left is a few that don't work some some reason. On most of these if I wrap the battery in plastic the light will work fine. but some are more stubborn.  Could be the ground. Not sure why it is not working but all the parts are new and maybe you can pix the issue.
