    Description

    A NOS Vista 5-Speed friction shifter for Vista banana seat muscle bikes. This shifter was manufactured by Shimano and was used on the Vista Banana and Torino muscle bikes in the 60's and 70's.
    This is a friction style shifter, like a Schwinn Krate shifter, so there isn't a positive click into gear.
    The shifter has a chrome plastic cover, a longer chrome stick and a black knob with a cool chrome inlay Vista logo. The shifter it really nice but the chrome cover does have some slight marks from shelf wear as does the shifter arm. Also, the 5 button has a slight crack. The shifter includes the original grey Vista shift cable with the a Shimano overload tube. The clamp is 1 1/16 inch for single top tube Vista bicycles. Perfect for a mint original bike or for your best restoration. Please email me with any questions.
