    *** I have problem...over the years my supplier sends more lower  end windows than the higher.. SOOOO. I have an unsold inventory. I am frugal -- I understand that buying a window and spending to ship, is not a good economic decision. Once again I will try to explain. IF you buy two windows; in a great many cases the two would ship at one shipping charge. 90% of the time the second window ships for half of the first and it only gets cheaper as the number goes up. I always charge only the bare UPS fees on sales of two or more windows. I am not trying to force sales for the sake of a sale, only trying to make it clear UPS is the one winning principal in this process. I am about to flood the site with windows from to and hope you will consider spending while saving and make lower priced windows a bargain for all. If there are two matching windows -- listed at different times, I will honor the lower price.  We hope to keep bringing in windows for years to come.. Thanks for the interest ED and JANE
    IF YOU WOULD TAKE A MINUTE AND READ BELOW **ONCE** IT WILL GIVE YOU ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS.
    I do not make vast sums in shipping fees. Most windows are within one side or the other of estimated charge. If it runs more than that, I will contact you and hope we can agree to either cancel or split the extra. By buying two or more the problem goes away and I refund any over payment usually day of shipping. With the constant raise in rates and the endless add on's UPS charges are a mystery until they ring up the bill.
    As for pricing.. IF you can buy for less God Bless You. I list fixed price. That price is usually considerably lower than others. I am an old man working in his garage, saving bits of history that others don't want to spend the time to save. I can only judge what I paid and past sales to fix a price. Once the window has spent time on the market, I will adjust. I am able to see how many times an item has been seen and not generate any interest. At that time; I adjust, feeling there is a point at which seller and buyer believe they both got a deal.
    The reason the prices are "right" is, I am the guy who takes in the windows that were ripped out in a hurry and mistreated. About 15% of the windows will have had glass replaced. Another 25% will  have had exterior lead replaced ( covered by frame ). In some cases I will mention that there is a small tight crack. It will be noted and most likely highlighted in the photo. I only repair with near perfect matching pieces and if it would require replacing several pieces to compensate for one crack...I just discount and move on.
    IF there is damage to the piece when you receive it. PLEASE contact me for full refund or replacement. EBay will drag out the process for several weeks. I have 1,600 + positive reviews; I am not trying to cheat any one. I view the windows as a bygone form of art. The windows are eighty to over a hundred years old. On rare occasions, I get newly made ( in old style ) English windows. They are duly noted.
    A few common terms:
    Sash= window that is similar in size both directions
    Transom= window twice or more wide as high
    Side Window= window twice or more high as wide
    Victorian=made during reign of Queen Victoria mid to late 1800's
    Edwardian= Made during time Edward was regent and King 1890's-1910
    Deco= 1920's--30's  geometrics
    Manchester window= Mass produced window from between the wars.
    Pub glass- make to fill the "Victorian" pubs that sprang up during the American invasion of the 1960's and 70's
    Dutch Fix ..A repair made by covering the crack with lead on both sides to hide the crack. Easier than doing a real repair. Any that exist are by someone other than myself.
    All of our pieces are reclaimed from England. This is not the original frame. The original frame was damaged and replaced to preserve the integrity of the piece.The custom frame is knot free 5/4 pine suitable for painting or staining. The actual size of the glass is an inch to inch and a quarter smaller than the listed framed size. Rarely an old frame or a new window will appear thanks to our supplier slipping it in. They will be noted
    Insurance is always included in the shipping cost.  A suitable box is used for each window.  They are protected by several layers of cardboard, wrapped in bubble wrap and surrounded by peanuts.  Every effort is made to assure your purchase arrives in the same condition as pictured.
    If you are interested in more than one piece;check in advance before buying. I sell glass and am not trying to get rich in S+H fees. I can ship "safely" two or more "sash" in one box.
