Description
Up for auction is this used bicycle part. This is the seat post
removed from a prewar Royal Cycle Works men's bike.
I am dating the bike sometime around 1900.
From what I have been able to dig up - Royal Cycle only operated in the 1890s in Marshall Mi.
I have been unable to explain the Chicago USA portion of the head badge
except
to say that Mead
Chicago manufactured a Royal bicycle in 1910-1912.
It appears to be a pre WW1 bicycle.
Please see photos for condition - condition is as shown.
This listing is for the seatpost.
It is 5/8" diameter and solid metal at the seat mounting rod.
It is 3/4" and hollow at the bike mounting rod.
Solid, all original replacement.
Thanks for looking.
