    Description

Pictures taken of all sides/angles of this rare, vintage, (I think from the 1940's, but, I do not know for sure. Please look at all the photos and please be your own judge) 5 Cents almond, candy, gumball or ? machine. It has embossed or in raised lettering on the metal top, PAT & MFG BY ADAMS-FAIRFAX CORPORATION. LOS ANGELES. U.S.A. And the glass globe, that I assume at one time contained almonds, ? maybe something else, ? looks to be in good used, vintage condition. I do not see any cracks, nicks, breaks etc.. again, looks to be in good, used, vintage condition. Embossed or in raised lettering, on or in the glass, what looks to be D-LITE LOC-NOB REC'D U.S. PAT. OFF. on one part, and on another part of the glass, H-12 DIETZ (in a circle) SYRACUSE, N.Y. U.S.A. There is a 5 CENTS on one side and the other side has a girl pointing at 5 CENTS and in small fine print on this looks to be ACME VENDING MACHINE CO. The Very Best (centered below the girl and 5 Cents. Los Angeles California. Some of the lettering above the handle that is used to dispense and take the nickels have faded and worn. A red lettering. Again, please refer to photos. It stands approximately 8 1/4 inches tall, excluding the metal piece that sticks out on the top metal center. This was an estate purchase. Again, not my area of expertise. So, please look at all the photos and please be your own judge about everything. I love old gumball, candy, nut dispensers, vending. And, found this one to have a lot of character and history about it. Unique. And has the metal type tray made around it. Thanks for your interest and looking. Different shipping options available. The metal round piece going around the bottom measures approximately 9 1/2 inches in diameter.

*****We did test with a nickel, and once it is pulled out and the nickel is inserted into the slot, it takes it and opens up to dispense after pushing it in and pulling back out. So, yes, it appears to work. But I do not have anything to put in it to dispense. But, the way it opens, after the nickel is inserted, doesn't seem like there are any issues there either and works as it should.*****
