Rare Vintage 50s 60s Bus Wagon Metal Car Top Utility Carrier Roof Rack
This rack has been in the attic for decades, and needs to see the light of day on someone's classic ride.
This rack is made of heavy gauge steel with original paint. I have not cleaned it up at all. It is dirty with tape residue and scratches at various points.
That being said, it is in very good condition and could be polished up nicely, or refinished in your own preferred color.
Rack comes with original white/yellowed rubber feet. Also has (2) of the original canvas hold down straps with hooks. I don't think these will be viable for securing this to your roof. I've seen reproduction and aftermarket hooks readily available which could be used with this rack.
Overall dimensions are about 41" long, by 36" wide. Rack stands about 12" high, with the carrier surround height about 8" with actual depth about 7-1/2". Rack weighs about 30 lbs.
There is no manufacturers mark that I can find.
Not to much else to say, but I have not been able to find another like it online or anywhere.
Local pickup is preferred as I believe this would cost hundreds to ship. But, if you prefer, I will ship at actual cost. I may be able to meet for delivery.
