Schwinn Stingray Apple Krate Original 1970 Seat

Description

This guard came off an early 70's 5 Speed original Apple Krate. Rough original seat in poor to below average condition. I was on the bike for a bit and seat seemed to function fine, not brittle to where any new cracks in seat were made, and old ones stayed the same. Most of the white screen on top of seat is worn off. Has a well secured reflector tab that has a bit of a small bend to it as seen in photo. The bolt holes are missing plastic inserts, but holes look good and have not gone through to the very bottom of pan. Pan has scratches and rust but seems to be solid from what can be viewed. Pat Pending Stingray Made In USA tag is worn, the "Ray" is worn off. Last photo shows a white/silvergrey type marking, perhaps it is paint, whatever it is, it is not a camera flash, it looks like it does in the last photo. In my opinion this seat would be good for a poor to below average original Apple Krate that is missing an original seat. If you have a rough appearing Krate that rides great but is missing an original seat, this might be what you are looking for. Or the pan appears to be good  enoughso it can be reconditioned and recovered. Do what you like. Sold AS-IS with no returns, so look at all photos I have posted. Shipped within USA only.
