Develop dexterity problem-solving and reasoning skills handeye coordination colour shape size identification and more with these big bright multicolored wooden jigsaw puzzles. The pieces are light in weight large in size about 34 in. thick for easy handling and interlock loosely so even pre-schoolers can assemble them easily. All are precut safe sturdy and water-resistant. The colours are non-toxic stain-like impregnated finishes. The Airplane is approximately 9-12 in. high 11-12 in. wide. Many of my designs have special meaning. This one more than most. The airplane is of a bi-wing design to closely represent as much as possible the first all metal airplane built in the world that actually flew by my Grandfather Charles H. Warwood in 1918 b.1900-d.1978. It was built in a farmers field in a rural area between Battle Creek MI. and Kalamazoo MI. during World War I under the camouflaged double tent protected by the U.S.Military. It made its maiden flight in Oct. 1918 in Pensacola Fl. with President Woodrow Thomas Wilson in attendance b.1856-d.1924 The 28th President of the U.S. 1913-1921. The plane was called the Curtiss N-9 of which 3 are known to exist today. Two are in the possession of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. The first completely restored and on display at the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola FL. The other is at Garber Field Washington DC. stored waiting for funds to restore it. One side note here I named my son after the plane although I dropped the second s to just Curtis. THE PUZZLE-MAN TOYS Our wooden toys are created for the safety and education of all.
