Here is a superb photo/postcard of the original "Gymnasium" on the campus of Wake Forest College in Wake Forest, North Carolina. The postcard's Ben Franklin 1 cent stamp has a Wake Forest, N. C. cancellation (please see). The message on the postcard reads: "I am taking dinner today at Wake Forest on my way to Raleigh N. C. through the country you know & I'm having a time."
