This never worn striped silk sarong is one of just a handful that came from the estate of the former (early 1980s) Ambassador to Singapore, a man who lived in Asia for several decades and collected a wide assortment of textiles. It's made of high quality silk that looks like it was woven on a home based loom--the 4 length of fabric hand stitched to make this sarong are only about 25" wide from selvedge to selvedge. This has a fantastic tomato red and teal green color combination. It’s already sewn into a finished sarong, a tube of fabric measuring 42” wide x 50” long (or 100" opened up)..
