    Description

    A vintage Sturmey Archer Sportshift 3-Speed stick shifter. This shifter was used on many muscle bikes the 60's and 70's including some CCM Mustangs, Raleigh Rodeo, Columbia Playbike, and others. This version of the Sportshift shifter has the black cover with the black top that has the white dashes to indicate the gear. This shifter is used but is in nice condition. The clamp on this shifter is a 1 inch clamp for single top tube muscle bikes. The chrome on the shift arm and shifter base is very nice. The clamp has some rust on the inside edge that won't bee seen when mounted to the bike. The rust is in top "loop" part of the clamp. The shift knob is in decent condition but is does have some cracks on the side and is a little yellowed. If it was sprayed with some white paint it would look great, but I sort of like the cracks and patina the way it is now. Perfect for an original bike needing the correct shifter.
