    Description

    Vintage Witherby chisel, overall length is 12-1/2". The steel part measures 8-5/16". I have ground a new bevel, just needs honing. The back goes straight for a bit behind the edge then starts to rise up towards the socket. It's perfectly normal, many do. It's not necessary for backs to be perfectly flat. They weren't even flat when they were made.
